Ninety-four percent of SPSS customers achieve positive ROI
An independent assessment of SPSS customers by technology research company Nucleus Research found that 94 percent achieved a positive return on investment, with an average payback period of just 10.7 months. According to the study, SPSS customers achieved returns through reduced costs, increased productivity, increased employee and customer satisfaction, and greater visibility. Customers cited flexibility, performance, and price as key factors in their decision to purchase software from SPSS. France Telecom provides strategic business intelligence with LexiQuest Mine
By incorporating LexiQuest Mine into its Strateasy business intelligence information system, France Telecom enables Strateasy users to gather, analyze, and organize strategic information relating to their customers, markets, competitors, and more. In one case, France Telecom used the solution to help shape product launch strategy by monitoring related competitor communications. Globo.com increases customer acquisition and reduces churn with SPSS for Windows
Globo.com, one of Brazil 's largest Internet service providers, receives four to five million visitors to its portal daily. As part of its strategy to convert these visitors into new customers and reduce subscriber churn, Globo.com recognized that it needed to give its customer service representatives better insight into customer preferences�enabling the representatives to customize offerings for both current and potential customers. Using SPSS for Windows to collect and analyze customer information, Globo.com was able to acquire 200,000 new customers, reduce churn by 30 percent, and increase subscriber demand for upgrades and additional services. SPSS and Language Weaver partner to provide rapid translations
SPSS has partnered with Language Weaver, a provider of software that automates human language translation, to develop a text mining solution that quickly translates and analyzes critical information from documents in languages such as Arabic and Chinese. This new translation technology will be offered as an option with the latest versions of SPSS' LexiQuest Mine and Text Mining for Clementine�.
