Jon Otterstatter

Chief Technology Officer
Jon Otterstatter assumed his role as Executive Vice President, Chief
Technology Officer for SPSS Inc in March 2001 with the acquisition of
ShowCase Corporation. In his current position, Otterstatter is
responsible for all research, development and support activities.
Prior to his current position, Otterstatter was
executive vice president, Technology and Services for ShowCase
Corporation. In this capacity, he was responsible for the research and
development of Business Intelligence products for the IBM iSeries
platform. He was a member of the executive committee and a corporate
officer since June 1999 when ShowCase went public.
Otterstattter joined ShowCase Corporation as Vice
President, Development in May 1994 and was promoted to Executive Vice
President, Technology and Services in May 1999. From 1983 to May 1994,
Otterstatter was employed by IBM where his last position was senior
development manager.
Otterstatter holds a B.S. degree in computer science
from the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse and a M.S. degree in
management of technology from the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology.
