The UK's Royal Mail predicts new product demand with SPSS
In 2004, the Royal Mail launched its online SmartStamp� system, which enables small businesses to print postage, logos, and other images directly on their mail. To determine demand for SmartStamp, Lockheed Martin�a developer of SmartStamp�profiled and segmented potential SmartStamp customers by analyzing market data and initial launch research with SPSS. The Royal Mail now has more than 13,500 SmartStamp customers, and received the Best Use of Technology Award at the UK's 2004 National Business Awards.
